People of different races, creeds and socioeconomic groups converged over 50 years ago to demonstrate against the attack on civil rights and jobs. Marchers traveled from far and wide to be a part of the nation’s greatest civil rights demonstration. Every region of the country was present. Leaders expected a mere 100,000 to attend the March, but nearly 250,000 arrive.
