Even though God does not operate on our time schedule, we can be sure He is never late. He always arrives on time-His time. Here’s one example: We read in Micah 5:2 that the Messiah would be born in the town of Bethlehem-a promise made 700 years before it happened. Later, when Herod inquired of the religious authorities where the Messiah should be born, they quickly told him Bethlehem and quoted Micah 5:2, which says, “And you, 0 Bethlehem, in the land of Judah are not the least among the ruling cities in Judah, for a ruler will come from you who will be the shepherd for my people Israel.” The Apostle Paul confirmed this timeliness of Jesus’ birth when he wrote in Galatians 4:4-5, “When the right time came, God sent his Son. . .to buy freedom for us.” God is always just in time-in history, as well as in our Christian experience.
