In 1910, Madam C.J Walker created a hair care business. She built a plant in Indiana that employed 3,000 workers, and engaged another 20,000 agents nationwide. All of them were pleased to call her “Boss.” Yet when we think about the true Boss of the universe, Almighty God has no equal. He made that clear to ancient Israel. After Moses brought them out of Egypt, he led them to Mt Sinai. A that mountain, God revealed himself to the people with flashes of lightning, billowing smoke, and loud blasts of a rams horn, then saying to them: “you saw for yourselves that I spoke to you from heaven.” The God who spoke to them is sovereign—He decides and has power to do whatever He chooses to do; He is eternal—without beginning or end; He is holy—100% pure; He is omniscient—He knows everything about everything; He is unchangeable–because He is perfect, he does not need to change; He judges—and has decreed that every violation of his holiness will be judged; yet God is also love; He loves so much He gave His only son to die in our place; now everyone who accepts and believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life.
