U.S Customs seizes 25,000 shipments of fake products each year—electronics, shoes, drugs, CDs, clothes, perfumes, watches, computers, and toys. Beyond fake products, many more people use the anonymity of the internet to hide their personal identity, trying to make people believe they are not who they really are. Experts say we have a crisis of authenticity—the desperate need to find what is real or genuine. When Jesus was here on earth He gave many infallible proofs to show He was who He claimed to be—the Son of God in human form. He did it not only by what He taught but by the miracles He performed—miracles no human could possibly do. He once fed 5,000 hungry men, another time 4,000. He also raised the dead. One compelling miracle was raising Lazarus back to life after he had been dead four days. We read in John Chapter 11 that before calling him out of the tomb, Jesus prayed, “Father, thank you for hearing me. You always hear me, but I said it out loud for the sake of all these people standing here, so that they will believe you sent me.” Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!” and the dead man came out.” People looking for what is real and reliable find it in Jesus the Christ.
