It was during World War II that medics used penicillin widely to fight infections among soldiers; so from the evil of war, a great good emerged that saves millions of lives. That good can come from evil is what Joseph told his brothers. Twenty years earlier, they sold him as a slave. Now as the prime minister of Egypt, he has saved them and all of North Africa from starvation. When his brothers came the second time to buy food, Joseph revealed himself to them. He did it after Judah pleaded with Joseph to spare his brother from slavery, to keep their father from dying of grief. After sending out his attendants, Joseph broke down and wept. He said to his brothers, “I am Joseph!” They were stunned! “Please come closer” So they came closer, and he said again. “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into slavery in Egypt. But don’t be upset; don’t be angry with yourselves for selling me to this place. It was God who sent me here ahead of you to preserve your lives
