Dr. Clarence Jordan Refused To Break His Promise

Years ago, Dr. Clarence Jordan established the Koinonia Farm down in Georgia. He did so to give Black and White people an experience of living together so they would get to know one another. Sadly, some hate-filled men came one night and burned down all the buildings and riddled his house with bullets. The next day, a reporter came to see what Dr. Jordan intended to do after this setback. He found him hoeing and planting. The reporter asked him, “How successful do you think your experiment has been since everything is now destroyed?” Jordan replied, “What we are about is not success but faithfulness. We are staying.” God is far more faithful to keep His word than Dr. Jordan could ever be. Many years ago God promised Abraham that all families on earth would be blessed through him. Over 1000 years later, God renewed that promise by Ezekiel in chapter 36. Then 600 years later still, Jesus Christ came and established the New Covenant by shedding His innocent blood on the cross. By means of this covenant, God is fulfilling the promise he made to Abraham 4,000 years ago. Count on it. God keeps every promise He has ever made.
