Carl Boberg wrote the song, “How Great Thou Art.” In one stanza, he wrote, “When through the woods and forest grades I wander, and hear the birds sing sweetly through the trees; when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur and see the brook and feel the gentle breeze; then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee; How great Thou art!” Now here are words of praise from Psalm 104: “O LORD my God, how great you are! You make springs pour water into the ravines, so streams gush down from the mountains. The birds nest beside the streams and sing among the branches of the trees. You send rain on the mountains from your heavenly home, and you fill the earth with the fruit of your labor. You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use.” Both the author of Psalm 104 and the writer of “How Great Thou Art” agree that God is not detached from His creation. We profit when we praise God for His amazing creation and His amazing salvation, all through Jesus Christ His Son.
