Researcher George Barna says some young adults leave church because they perceive church as too narrow, intolerant of people outside the church. Some say Christians are bigots because they insist that Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven. But in reality, Christians base their beliefs on the teachings of Bible. Here is one text about Christ from Colossians 1: “Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created, and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we cannot see — such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together, Christ is also the head of the church, which is his body. He is the beginning, supreme over all who rise from the dead. So he is first in everything. For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of Christ’s blood on the cross.” Since Jesus Christ is all of that, He has no equal. Yet as we love young adults–and others, unconditionally, we will win and keep more of them for Christ and his kingdom.

excellent article. I grew up in the church and as soon as I turned 16 I stopped going, mainly out of rebellion. However, I never lost my faith and belief in Yah. These days, it’s obvious the selfish generation being manipulated by the media and society. I’ll pray for all of us. YAH loves His creation, even the prodigal sons and wayward daughters. All of us have been in the wilderness, and I sincerely pray for the lost to be found.
