The Lott Carey Misonary Foundation extends its Christian witness around the world—helping needy children, youth, and adults with prayer, funding, and technical aid. They’re motivated by God’s love. Years ago, King David desired to express his appreciation to God by building a Temple. The Temple would be a place for worship; it would also show his gratitude to God for letting him serve as king over his nation. But God rejected his idea and told David He would build a dynasty of kings for David. David was so overcome with God’s generosity he sat in God’s presence to say, “Who am I, O Sovereign Lord, and what is my family, that you have brought me this far?” “What more can David say to you? ” “How great you are, O Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.” In every age, truly grateful people show it by giving credit to God his blessings and by using their gifts and abilities to make a difference in the lives of others.
