Dr. Marvin Bittinger is a Mathematics professor at Purdue University. He has done some calculations that say by 2033, every person on earth will have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ. David Barrett and Todd Johnson head of the Global Evangelism Movement, say 176,000 people come to faith in Christ each day. The Pew Research Forum confirms that the center of the global church is shifting east and south and away from Europe and North America. Africa expected to have a billion Christians by 2050. And by 2100, the total African population is expected to be 3.5 billion, and the total world population 11 billion. Matthew 24 records Jesus as saying, “This Gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Whom does Jesus count on to proclaim this Gospel? God’s people, of course! This tells us that we should be diligent in sharing the Good News about Christ—whether by our lips or by the life we live. God wants all of His children to be faithful in sharing the Good News at every opportunity we have. It is a privilege for us to share the message that God will forgive all who place their faith in His Son Jesus. God is so pleased when we who profess faith in Him show it—by our love, our righteous character, and the outward display of justice toward others.
