To produce an animated movie requires artists to draw millions of scenes. But once they finish their work and we look at the fast moving scenes, it seems so simple. Our lives are like an animated movie. God has a wonderful plan for each of us. As we live in subjection to God, He makes it all unfold according to His plan. God demonstrated to ancient Israel His ability to make His plans for them come true. After they violated God’s covenant, He let them go into exile for 70 years. But just as God promised, he worked His plan to let them go back home when 70 years expired. We read in Ezra Chapter 1: “In the first year of King Cyrus of Persia, the LORD fulfilled the prophecy he had given by Jeremiah. He stirred the heart of Cyrus to put this proclamation in writing, and to send it throughout his kingdom: This is what King Cyrus of Persia says: The LORD, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth. He has appointed me to build him a Temple in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Any of you who are his people may go to Jerusalem in Judah to rebuild this Temple of the LORD.” So, just as God raised up King Cyrus of Persia to permit ancient Israel to go back home, God can oversee our circumstances today. Our challenge is to submit humbly to God’s will, so He can fulfill His purpose and plans for us.
