Here are tips some say can help bring meaning in life: Choose positive friends. Visualize success. Celebrate achievements. Try to stay healthy. Find someone to help. Long ago, King David enjoyed a huge sense of fulfillment after hearing from the prophet Nathan what God promised to do for him. David had earlier voiced his desire to erect a temple where God could be worshiped. In truth, a temple would be not only a place to worship but also a legacy for David. Future worshipers could recall how God used David to bestow blessings on the people and the land. Erecting a temple would have given David a great sense of fulfillment. But God rejected his request and instead declared He would create a dynasty of kings for David—a legacy far superior to a physical temple. When David realized what God said He would do for him, he was so filled with gratitude, he just sat before God praising and praying. We read in 1 Chronicles chapter 17, David said, “What more can I say to you about the way you have honored me?” Today God reserves an eternal legacy for everyone who chooses His Son and lives by faith to please Him in this life.
