The website called Trusting-in-Jesus-dot-com (https://www.trusting-in-jesus.com) invites people all over the world to share their testimonies of answered prayer. It is refreshing to read testimonies from over 200 countries describing how God sent rain, provided jobs, healed loved ones, and many other answers to prayer. The testimonies show the many-sided power of Almighty God in manifesting His compassion and power to bless and give hope to needy people. In 1 Kings Chapter 17, we find the account of Elijah beseeching God on behalf of a widow whose only son took sick and died. In praying Elijah said, “‘O LORD my God, please let this child’s life return to him.’ The LORD heard Elijah’s prayer, and the life of the child returned, and he revived!” The woman was so filled with joy, she had a ringing testimony about the love and power of God. We seldom miracles like this today even though we know God has the ability to raise the dead if He chooses to do so. Yet we can be sure that God hears every prayer. His answer may be yes, no, or yes but not now. So we learn to draw near God through His Son, to trust His wisdom, love, and power, knowing our Father will always do what is best for His children.
