Here are some ways we can show gratitude to God for His many blessings upon us: We can make a list of blessings then thank God for each item on the list. We can keep a journal of prayer requests and record how God answers each. We can identify a specific area for spiritual growth and pursue it. We can look for some needy person to help. We can aim to maintain an attitude of gratitude in all our ways. God’s blessings give us opportunities to reflect on His goodness, His love, His purpose, and His power. That is what Hannah did long ago. After dedicating her son Samuel to God, allowing him to live and serve in the Tabernacle, she was so grateful to God that she sewed and brought her son a new coat each year. I like to think that as she sewed each coat, she did it out of gratitude to God for giving her the son; out of love for her precious son, love for her husband who fathered the son, and love for the people her son now served at the Tabernacle. She could feel deep satisfaction knowing she was helping to fulfill God’s purpose for her people. She now had her own testimony that God is good, able, and trustworthy. We can have the same testimony when we recognize God’s blessings upon us.
