Today’s news sources are such that we often struggle to know whether a story is fake or factual. The need for truth is vital, especially as it relates to our origin, our purpose, and our destiny. Followers of Christ rely on the Holy Bible. Now some people say the Bible is unreliable because imperfect people wrote it. Yet Christians believe that even though frail humans recorded the writings, they were inspired and guided by Almighty God—a God who can do anything He pleases, who can use imperfect people to say what He wants to say. The Bible itself claims to be Holy-Spirit inspired, God-breathed. God once spoke to the prophet Ezekiel (Chapter 2-3) to say, “Son of man, let all my words sink deep into your own heart first.” Then go to your people . . . and say to them, “this is what the Sovereign Lord says!’ Do this whether they listen to you or not.” So before we dismiss the Bible as unreliable, we should read and study it. When we do so humbly and honestly, we discover truth that transforms and guides us into eternal life.
