Scientists now believe there are as many as two trillion galaxies in our universe, each having an average of 100 billion stars. That’s big, and according to Isaiah 40:26 God calls each star by its name! We puny humans cannot begin to fathom the infinite wisdom, power, and love that produced the universe in which we reside. After God made known to ancient Israel the necessity that they live holy and keep his covenant, they repeatedly disobeyed His laws and covenant obligations. God gave Ezekiel a vision that helped to convey God’s immensity, awesomeness and the power to do whatever He chose to do. Yet God was gracious to reveal that when judgment was over He would fulfill His ancient promise to show them mercy and love. The immense and awesome God who revealed himself to Ezekiel has allowed His Son to bear the wrath we should receive because of our sinfulness. Now all who claim His Son as their Savior receive the forgiveness of sins, the gift of His Spirit to help them live successfully each day, and enjoy eternal life beyond the grave.
