Tree experts say in choosing an evergreen tree for your yard, consider the soil and the climate. They say the more care you take in picking the right evergreen tree for the environment, the more success you’ll have growing and beautifying your yard. Long ago, God offered to be an evergreen tree to the ancient people of Israel. He said in Hosea 14, “I am like a tree that is always green; all your fruit comes from me.” “Let those who are wise understand these things. Let those with discernment listen carefully. The paths of the Lord are true and right, and righteous people live by walking in them.” God’s message to these ancient people about fruit-bearing applies to us today. Here is what our Lord told us in the Gospel of John CH 15. “I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. “When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” Jesus says, if we love and obey Him, we will have an intimate relationship with him. In that close relationship, we will bear the good fruit of His likeness and character, and deeds; and when we do, we will bring great joy to our heavenly Father.
