Coffee doesn’t spill when an airplane turns for a good reason. The airplane has device that keeps the plane level with the earth’s surface. So no matter how steep the turn is, coffee will not spill. This illustrates a biblical principle. When we come to God by faith in His Son, God declares us righteous. This new relationship with God comes with enormous benefits. One is that as we rely on God, He keeps us steady when we go through difficulties; our difficulties transform us into the likeness of His Son. Here is how the Apostle Paul explained this vital process in Rom, Ch 5: “Since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory. We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” See what faith in God through Jesus Christ can do for a person?
